Suzy Welch
Suzy Welch is a Professor of Management Practice at NYU Stern, business journalist, public speaker and best-selling author with expertise in leadership, change and crisis management, corporate governance, social media and careers. Ms. Welch is the author of the New York Times bestseller “10-10-10: A Life Transforming Idea,” a guide to values-driven decision making. Ms. Welch is also the co-author of the international best-sellers, “The Real Life MBA” and “Winning.” In addition to her writing and public speaking, Ms. Welch has served as a television commentator for numerous networks since 2002, and often can be seen on NBC and CNBC, where she is a commentator. She has also been a contributing editor for LinkedIn, anchoring major editorial projects. From 2010 to 2020, Ms. Welch also served as a curriculum advisor for the Jack Welch Management Institute, which she co-founded. Ms. Welch began her career working as a reporter for The Miami Herald from September 1981 through June 1985, after which she attended Harvard Business School, where she graduated as a Baker Scholar in 1988. She then worked as a management consultant at Bain & Co., before joining the Harvard Business Review as a senior editor in January 1995. She was named editor-in- chief in 2001, serving in that position until April 2002. Ms. Welch also serves on several private company and non-profit boards, including the board of directors of the Humane Society of the United States, on which Ms. Welch has served since September 2015.
